Another one of the mockumentaries that I have decided to look at in terms of their cinematography and how I could apply that to My Name Is Jon is Modern Family.
Just like Parks And Recreation, Modern Family also has confessionals where the characters can give their thoughts on things. This is the kind of location that will be most likely used in My Name Is John as there are scenes that take place at the home so a setup like this would work well.
In terms of the camera it would be stationary and one of the characters would look just off screen or directly to the camera and say their feelings. Although a slight zoom in could work if there is need for it.
