To look into how to film natural light for Inheritance the director recommended The Revenant to watch and here is my review.

First off we have the story which overall I thought was excellent and the journey Glass goes through was great to see.

Next we have the characters of the film which overall I thought were great. The main standout being Glass played by Leonardo DiCaprio who's acting in this film was really good and his journey throughout the film was intense.

For what action scenes there were throughout the film such as the beginning battle and the bear attack I was glued to my screen waiting to see what would happen next. Moving onto the tone of the movie which I thought was done really well and made the film feel real and allowed me to be immersed in the film's environment. As for the visuals they were of the movie which I thought were amazing, the locations used in the film were used well and showed nature to great effect especially the landscape shots. The use of the weather again was used well to show what nature is like. The camerawork throughout the film was excellent and some of the shots used on characters, landscape and action added depth to scenes. The soundtrack of the film was good and the different tracks were used well in the scenes that they were needed.

Overall I thought this film was excellent and as a film about a characters survival in the wild was intense and hard to watch in places but sticking through the film I would defiantly watch again.

I give The Revenant a score of 9/10
