Notable Films

Fargo - 1996

The Big Lebowski - 1998

No Country For Old Men - 2007

Skyfall - 2012

Prisoners - 2013

Sicario - 2015

Blade Runner 2049 - 2017

Influences

His work on the 2017 film Blade Runner 2049 really stood out to me because of the way he was able to make the world feel deeper and complex because of the way he used his cinematography such as lighting, simple camera movements and colour when needed but also is able to build upon what the original film had set up.

Quotes

I'd characterise myself as an observer. I'm quite shy and I've always been happy to stand back and watch the world around me
Ettedgui, P. Cinematography Screencraft. P. 159

I rarely look at specific painters or photographers, or even other films, when i'm preparing for a movie, but this jumble of images includes some of the paintings, films and photographs I've grown up with and have influenced my way of seeing things
Ettedgui, P. Cinematography Screencraft. P. 160
