Director Of Photography

While working on My Name Is John as the DOP, there have been a number of other jobs I have had to do besides turning up and shooting the film.

These jobs included:

Reads the script so that he or she understands the story and has an idea of what may be involved in shooting the film

Assists the Director in translating the screenplay into visual images 

Chooses camera, lenses, filters, film stock and any other camera equipment that may be needed

 Selects the lenses and filters required for each shot

Determines the correct exposure for each shot
