Black-magic Lenses

When Lee gave us a Black-magic tech demonstration the camera also has different lenses which have different effects when you use them and here is what they do:

Samyang - 1.5 35mm lens

This is a prime lens which meant when shooting the first take we didn't have to adjust the position of the camera which means we got a clear shot of Andrew stood in front of the background and there is a bit of distance between them.

Canon - 2.8 24-70mm lens

The next lens we had was bigger which meant we had to adjust the camera position further back and zoom in on Andrew this means the background becomes clearer as well as Andrew looking like he is closer to the background then the first lens.

Samyang - 3.1 14mm lens

Moving onto one of the smaller lenses we ended up using this meant we had to get very close to Andrew to get him and the background in shot and it is very clear of the of the distance between him and the background.

Samyang - 1.5 85mm lens

Just like the second lens we used we had to move the position of the camera further back as it was bigger then the second lens which makes Andrew look like he is stood very close to the background.

Samyang - 3.8 8mm lens

The final lens ended up being a fish eye lens which meant we had to get up close to Andrew again which meant the from the middle of the lens going left and right it becomes distorted and gives the indication of Andrew being stood away from the background.
