Yesterday Lee gave a Black-magic camera tutorial as that was the camera I was going to use for my minor. From that tutorial came some very important information for when using the camera:
Afterwards I moved onto my lighting test:
- The battery will last 1 hour 30 without external chargw
- When choosing the film setting you will colour grade your film or digital setting you don't need to
- The ISO goes from 200-1600 with 800 being the best setting because of the noise and quality ratio
- The frames per second go from 23,24,25,29.7 and 30 and which one you chose depends on your market
- Make sure to plan the look of your film before shooting so not to cause issues when editing
- One film setting known as Raw is best for quality, but not practical
- When it comes to lighting there are a choices such as: Tungsten - 3200, Daylight - 5,600 and Sunlight - 6,000
- Images - 2.5K Raw, DNXHD, ProRes422 with Pro Res 422 being ideal, 4 - raw 22 - compressed
- Shutter - 172.8
- Timelapse - Off
- 95% Zebres - Focusing
- Scratch track is the audio on camera and is only used for syncing up
- Higher resolution is not good for film-making as there is so much you can get out of an image
Afterwards I moved onto my lighting test:

This is one of the lighting setups we did with a red gel over one of the red head lights to add to the mood which gives the scene a unsettling feel.

This the setup for one of the versions I did with two lights off to the side and one taller light on for a version of three point lighting

This is the product I ended up with the first or second tests I did coming out the best because of the feel they give off an unsettling feel.
