Today I took out the GlideCam to test if I could get it setup correctly because I may need to use it for Inheritance.
This is the Glidecam with the camera that I will use attached to it. Talking with one of our lecturer's they said because I'm am using a dslr camera for shooting, then I could use probably less weights on the bottom of the GlideCam.
Here you can see the weights for the GlideCam. This was a setup I used when starting to adjust it. When adjusting the setup the weights are adjustable because you can put on or remove weights, you can even adjust where you want them such as in the middle or right at the end.
This setup was as I was getting used to the setup although it still wasn't perfect. Towards the neck of the GlideCam you can adjust how tall you want it, I tried it a few times and found it not helpful and adjusted it to be smaller. The weight setup now is two big weights on either side at the very far end of the railes.
Just underneath where the camera sits is some adjustable plates which can change how far left and right and how far back or forward you want the camera. With the left and right parts I put the camera more to the right to counteract the weights and for forwards and backwards I kept i a bit forward but not by much.
From looking back at this test to my one last year I think it was better as I booked the equipment for more hours to get to learn the GldeCam better so it will be good for shooting Inheritance with.
