Camera Techniques

In the first part of the session the lecturer went over a form that applies to work experience. It goes over information that the student going on work experience has to fill in, the lecturer signing of the student to go on the work experience and the people hosting the work experience to have the necessary paperwork.

Here is what this document is about: Camera Movement. Now because I am the camera operator on Inheritance there are certain movements that the camera may use in scenes throughout the film that I must remember.

This link underneath goes into more detail about these movements:

Now the one movement that I will go over that I will learn and use in the film is Crab/Truck. Now this movement looks easy and it is, you just have to make sure when using the move your knees are controlled as you want to keep each shot steady as this movement involves the camera being handheld.

Obviously the other camera movements are important it's just that the Crab movement is predominantly used.
