Digital Production – Tech Rehearsal and Sound Effects

Yesterday the crew setup for a tech rehearsal to make sure we could get use to the equipment in the gallery and get a hand of our roles before the actual stream.

As our stand in actors we managed to grab some of the film students with one of them playing two roles for a few of the takes we did.

Now as the role of the floor manager I felt I was 50/50. I didn't start that well as I made dumb mistakes like not using hand gestures and talking a few times when I shouldn't have. However as we continued to for more rehearsals I felt I got better as I started to use the hand signals and talked accidentally less. I can defiantly improve though.

As for my role of the sound mixer I must remember to bring the levels back up after the VT has finished when the role swap over happens. When sound effects are needed I need to remember to play them at the right time and make sure I play them through a phone to not let the phone go to silent.


During the lunch break I recorded the director for part 2 as the old voice for the spooky ending for if we need it. I We did a few takes of the dialogue and two takes fr the scream for the happy ending in case the actress for May can't do it on the day.
