Digital Production – Set Building, Lighting and Sound

We were gong to block the script to see how actors would move around the set by using black tape with the help of a few of the filmmakers but instead of that we actually put up a set to make it look like the tent we need. 

We used a white curtain and other materials to start off with .

To improve the set the ends of the curtain were scrunched up to try and get a ceiling

The lighting designer had a test with different lights to try and create different effects

To curve the cloth special pegs were hung from the ceiling

Te directors then worked on camera positions around the tent. They decided to have one over shoulder shot of May, a close up shot of Benny/George and a wide shot

When it came to sound the lecturer showed me a microphone that you can clip to actors. The trick of this microphone is placement on actor and how to hide it so the camera can't see it. This could be helpful with the shoot. 

With the setup that was made a way you could set up microphones is on the ceiling and hang them from the rails. This is something i'll have to look into.
