We managed to get all of the narrator scenes shot and completed which means the editor can start editing the 2nd Unit Material together ready for the date the other half of the show goes on air.
Me and the director managed to get in on time to pick up the equipment, we did have to wait for the sound operator to arrive. After that we got over to the location and I set up the equipment as the director had went to the train station to meet the actor.
When the actor arrived and after a bit more setting up of lights and where the camera should be we managed to get everything shot. One mishap that happened is during the first wide shot I happened to catch the microphone in shot which I honestly did not notice, when the director/editor had seen it after importing the footage she told me that it could be fixed. This is something I need to take extra care doing as if it had happened in the majority of shots there would have been a problem.
On a whole the shoot did go well, the team worked well and the actor did really well in his performance as the narrator.
UPDATE - After looking back at the footage and finding the first wide shot having the microphone in shot. I take full responsibility for this and should have been more careful when setting up camera angles.
