Digital Production - Sound Mixer

We were shown the sound mixer and how we will operate it for our live show. The role of the sound mixer is a role I would be interested in ding however even if I learn the important parts of the mixer I will probably end up messing up at some point because sound is very important to the show.
Now onto what some of the buttons and dials do:

  1. XLR Cables are balanced and will get constant levels plus being 100m
  2. There is an input for headphones at the top of the mixer. There is a broken socket at the bottom we don't use, Plug Headphones in = Use Adapter
  3. 12 outputs but 10 microphones
  4. Red dials = input gain and the sound from the microphones
  5. Frequency's = high, mid x2 and low - Use Md Frequency
  6. A Yellow dial for panning sound left and right
  7. Mute button = mute track
  8. Sliders to control mixer
  9. Green Light = signal
  10. Red light = peaking, 1. Red dial needs turning down if red light is
  11. 15 second delay on mixer
  12. Phantom power can be turned off = Top button right corner
  13. Red dial on right = Turn Headphone volume down
  14. Button for 100hz hum, If hear turn it on
